CLEARING OF THE PAPER SHED FOR THE LAST TIME
After nearly 50 years the collecting of old newspapers has finally come to an end…
Sometime in the early 1970’s the Club took over from the Pony club the collection of old newspapers and magazines for recycling from the newsagents and a few shops. This was initially to raise money for a dedicated Velodrome. See more – “The Velodrome” https://www.leongathacycling.com/history/
From the Club president, Mark would like to thank all those who have been involved in the collecting of papers over this long period, as it has been a valuable source of revenue for the Club.
