Vale Jim Geary. It is with great sadness that we record the passing of Jim Geary on Thursday 31st March 2022 after a short illness.
Jim was one of our founding Club members who took an active part in the Club for about 60 years, from its inception in 1959 until his move into the Lodge at the Leongatha Hospital around 2 years ago.
“It is with sadness that we record the passing of one of our founding club members. Jim was an active part of the Club from its inception in 1959 until his move into the Lodge at the Leongatha Hospital around 2 years ago. He had a short illness prior to his death. The Club still has some Geary family members taking an interest in the Club and we will forever be indebted to Jim for the work he put into the Club operations. It was only last February that we ceased operation of the paper recycling program which used a shed on the Geary property for over 40 years.” Rest in peace, Jim. – Lindsay
