Once again it was both weather and the road problems following last weekends wet weather which resulted in racing not going ahead on Saturday morning. The planned hillclimb challenge up MtEccles was abandoned because of a road slip. However, it was strong northerly winds which put the junior race out.
However, Club officials are busy trying to get Club supporters lined up to attend a 60th Anniversary Dinner Dance on Oct 19 at the Dakers Centre. The Club welcomes all along for the night but people need to check the club web site for details on how to book a ticket for this catered event. The Club still has a founding member active most weekends so we urge all supporters to come along on Oct 19 and give Jim Geary a great big cheer.
