Leongatha Cycling Club conducts track road and cyclocross events in South Gippsland and the Bass Coast.

Track cycling is held at the Leongatha Velodrome over summer with training on Wednesday nights at 6.30pm and racing on Friday nights at 7pm. The Club has several track bikes available for junior riders and they are encouraged under the supervision of the Club Coach. All rider levels are catered for with a range of scratch, handicap, time trials and novelty events.

The road season is held from April to September at a variety of venues in South Gippsland and the surrounding countryside; this also includes combines with other Gippsland Clubs. The racing is normally on Saturday (sometimes Sunday) starting at 2pm. Most riders arrive at about 1pm to warm up and register before 1.30pm. Circuits range from 30 to 50km’s and is a mix of handicap events and graded scratch races. Junior riders also compete in road racing over shorter distances, usually while the senior race is on. All riders must have a valid Cycling Australia licence or a day permit to compete.
