George Martin memorial trophy is a senior handicap race in honour of the first club president. It is held over the 38 Km Mardan circuit through Nerrena, Mardan and back to Leongatha.

George was an ex-racing cyclist who was influential in the formation of the Club in 1959. He held the position of president for the first 3 years and continued his involvement with the Club as referee and handicapper in the early years.
