Saturday proved to be a quiet day for the club as the impending rain as shown on the BOM radar deterred the seniors from following the juniors onto the road for time trials. The juniors managed to complete their rides prior to the rain setting in. Bastian Jefferies was quickest over the 6.4km course at Outtrim recording a time of 17.13 min which was quicker than his effort the previous week at Pound Creek – perhaps is was better because he had Club president Mark Bensley giving encouragement along the way. Stephen Spencer rode 19.39min and after missing a couple of weeks needed the run to get back into the swing of things.
There is no club racing for next weekend but the Club will have a social ride from Leongatha to Inverloch on Sunday morning, riding to a break at Paul The Piemans shop. The ride will start at the IGA car park – 9.00am. The following weekend the racing will be at Woolamai for the circuit via the Glen Forbes Gorge.
